Panos London is sponsoring the first Student Film Festival London (SFFL) 2012, which runs 3-5th February at the London College of Communication.
We are interested in the power of individuals’ stories and believe they provide an important contribution to our understanding of the world. So we asked festival-goers if they had the opportunity to make a film with an individual or group who they feel are invisible or misrepresented in the UK media, who would they pick and why?. Perhaps their experiences and perspectives on topical issues are not being heard. Or perhaps they are visible in the media, but only in terms of one aspect of their identity/lives.

Thanks Winarta. We really enjoyed working with student filmmakers for this event. It is really important to portray and to connect to, the different experiences of people around the world.
