Panos London

Illuminating Voices

Promoting dialogue, debate and change

How we work

Panos London's mission is to stimulate informed and inclusive public debate around key development issues in order to foster sustainable and equitable development. Our aim is to ensure that the perspectives of the people whose lives are most affected by development (mainly the poor and marginalised) are included within decision-making and that decisions are subject to their scrutiny and debate.

Stories to tell, stories to hear

Our video explores, and explains, the process of oral testimony, and why it's an essential aspect of poverty reduction. Oral testimony addresses a key aspect of poverty, the lack of voice, and it gives people an opportunity to share their knowledge and experience in their own words. Watch the video

Approaches

Media development

The people most affected by development are often poorly informed about the issues central to their lives.
